The Easiest Way to Scan Documents with the iPhone's Built-in Apps
On an iPhone, the easiest way to scan documents is with the built-in Notes app.
To scan in the Notes app:
- Open the Notes app.
- Create a new note or open an existing one.
- Tap the clip/attachment icon or the Camera icon at the bottom.
- Select Scan Documents.
- Point the camera at the document and it will be recognized and captured automatically.
- If needed, adjust the corners, rotate, or apply filters, then tap Save.
The scanned document is saved as a PDF within the note, and you can use Share to send it to KakaoTalk, Mail, or the Files app.
You can also use the Files app:
- Open the Files app
- Tap ... in the upper right
- Select Scan Documents
Tips:
- Scanning in a well-lit area improves recognition.
- If auto capture is inconvenient, you can also capture manually.
